1 /5 Emily Penner: Went in today at the Hazledell location, witch being there one time before on another inquiry. Was expecting the same service and respect as received the first time. Having my six year old daughter with me , we talked among ourselves selves until she was done doing her calculations. Rudly she replied ill give you one dollar for that one and second forty. Now I know that pawn shops give the lowest they can I get it. But the way she handled the whole situation was if she were a snob from Beverly Hill driving drunk then hit you. I was absolutely offended when I was business casual , hair and make up done. I dont feel like anyone should be treated like that ever.

I have been in the customer service industry for over 20 years . Ive been awarded gifts from several employers for giving my customers above and beyond great customer service. Because not only did I have great customer service, I listened to each customer as an individual and if a problem arose., I reassured them that they were heard and I did what I needed, to ensure that person walked out with a smile. I was always taught that you can always make something right, especially when it comes to a customer.
Like I said I received great service the last time I was there because the gentleman was genuinely cared and listened to me. The lady who helped me, yes she checked the box of saying high and thanks that just means she went through the motions. Not great customer service. One has to mean it in order to be felt by a customer. It was the condescending attitude I got when I was given my "offer ". Its been said that its not what you say its how you say it. Well it was both. How she said it and what she said.
As the owner your reply is basically stating that I didnt get my way , or dollar amount that I thought. I went and left the bad review. The offer had nothing to do with why I left a review. This is why I also shop around , for the best offer not just settle because one thinks Im desperate. For you to insinuate that because you watched a video, is tacky and just plane bad business.
Coming from the consumer side and yes not ever working at a pawn shop. Can let you know that people dont exactly run to a pawn shop for the fun of it most of the time. Most are in a situation that has left them debating if or I need to sell/pawn this for cash. Regardless of the situation no one wants to be made feel that there item is worthless, because you dont know what that ment to them. In my case I know exactly how much it cost originally and agreed mark up on jewelry in market is ridiculous. But to be offered 1 dollar for something you know costed 500 at Fred Myers jewelers is offensive. A simple reply of Im sorry we dont buy silver at this time, but the diamonds sure do sparkle. Would have been more than exceptiblle. And I probably would never have left the review. Why should I settle for poor word choices, a condescending attitude, help make you guys money( if I decided to sell) when I get payed very well for my coustmer service . Im sorry i kinda expect for people to give me the same as i give to others. I do feel pity for you to not to think my complaint isnt valid.
Being the kind of person that is understanding that I am I dont hold a negative feeling twords the lady, I just blame it on it was late when I came in she could of gotten some horrible news, bad headache,tired or just a plain bad day and or ignorant from lack of training or coaching. I can officially say because of the response from you the owner and you blaming me for my own bad experience that I will never go to your establishment again. I do hope you have a fantastic weekendguys have many more successful years as a small business .
