2 /5 Maggie A.: My husband recently went to Fred Meyer Jewelers to have my watch battery replaced. He reported to me that they were questioning him where he got the watch from (because it’s an expensive Michele Watch) and he responded that he bought it for my birthday a few years ago from Costco!!!! They continued to ask him strange questions aside from suddenly a person “shadowing” him in the store while he was waiting. Mind you, he purchased a few jewelry pieces there before, years ago. Although I understand that they must be careful due to theft, but I am disappointed in the way they handled his visit. Good job on the battery replacement but not customer service. Trust me, we will not be back for jewelry or battery replacement!

My husband and I were in there about a month and a half ago to pick out a new band for my wedding ring, and spent about 30-45 minutes with Tiffanie looking over all the options for the stone that I showed her. Every band I looked at, she would price it out and tell me how much it was going to be, and mentioned that this included any resizing that would have to be done. We settled on a nice one that would be perfect for my ring, and paid for it, told it would be ready by the end of the next week. Well, the next day, we were called and told that they were going to charge us more than double the price of what we paid, because apparently the bands they had were for round diamonds, and mine was a rectangular one, so the prongs would have to be changed. I was told that Tiffanie was new, and so she didnt know better. I spoke with the manager, and she told me that they didnt even sell the size of my diamond, which is weird, considering the papers from it clearly showed that it was originally from Fred Meyer Jewelers. She told me that they would find out how much it was going to cost and that they would eat some of the cost, since it was such a big misunderstanding. When they called us the next day, they told us that the charge was $420, (we paid $326 for the band), and that they would only knock it down to another charge of $350, more than double the original price that we paid. They wouldnt even take off a full $100. I cant believe the bait and switch, and now we have a very poor taste in our mouths for Fred Meyer Jeweler. We were even planning to come back next week for a blue diamond tungsten ring for him, but now we plan on getting our original purchase refunded and looking elsewhere for his as well. We got screwed big time, dont let it happen to you! Update: Went to Ben Bridge and got us BOTH a ring for him and a setting for mine for under 800!

5 /5 Angela T: Ive had really good experiences here. Ive purchased from other jewlers and online, but the items I purchased at this jeweler have been the highest quality and beauty. The staff treats me with kindness and attentiveness whether I make a purchase or not. Other jewelers wont give me care and service if they dont believe theyll get a sale. So I keep returning here. Just bought a certified diamond and I love it.

1 /5 Le Fleur Golf: The salesperson ordered the incorrect ring, which is understandable. However they did absolutely nothing to fix their mistake. I wasn’t offered the 50% off special if the return happened to fall after 5/1 nor was I able to be refunded until the day after I receive the incorrect ring. They didn’t even send the correct ring off to be resized whilst I wait. I wanted to go shop for the ring that I originally wanted at a different store, but they have me in a bind with the half off special. The customer service was terrible and I won’t be back.

1 /5 Mike Pace: Go to any other jeweler, even another Fred Meyer jewelers. The staff here will not own the mistakes they make and finds ridiculous excuses to shift blame onto the customer. I used to work for Fred Meyer Jewelers and I was shocked by the experience I had here. Edit: This store quoted me over $1000 in repairs on a wedding ring I brought in. As mentioned above they were not acting with integrity so I refused the work and took the ring to another Fred Meyer Jewelers. The new jeweler said very few repairs were needed and the total for ALL repairs was less than $100. They tried to scam me. Plain and simple.
