1 /5 Cee T.: I’m giving 5 stars for helping myself find the exact earrings I was looking for. I was the only Black person in the busy store, and unfortunately, I wasn’t greeted by anyone. I had to bring my earrings and the display rack to the counter myself to make the purchase. Despite the lack of customer service, I wasn’t bothered. What’s ironic is that the customers they choose to assist are the ones that steal the most, while the ones they ignore are the ones that actually pay. I was visiting the Austin area, but I won’t return—I’ll just shop online if I need anything else. What’s interesting is that I was wearing several pieces of expensive jewelry—some could’ve easily bought a car. After I pulled out my black card to pay, the cashier’s whole attitude shifted. She began explaining their fine jewelry, and even the woman who ignored me earlier finally acknowledged me. I chose to ignore her and walked out.
