1 /5 Rick McGann: If you have short or long term disability insurance through Standard Insurance Company you may not want to depend on them to pay your disability without harassing you nonstop. My friend has been receiving $50/month from them and receive anywhere from 4 or 5 to over a dozen forms to fill out every month. She was receiving a form requesting pages of medical updates every other day. They finally beat her into submission and she made the decision to stopped filling out their forms and requests for updated medical information. It wasnt worth her time for $50/month. Very bad investment.

1 /5 Kathy Simmons: I have been paying over $19/mo for nearly three decades to this company for LTD insurance. I finally cancelled via phone since it’s impossible via any other means. I’m mad that it took me this long to realize I’d been taken for a very long ride. Lesson learned! Don’t be like me. Research what funds you have going out on an auto basis and get rid of the excess! I get ZERO benefit from this policy after all these years.
