2 /5 Ang O: I had high hopes given the near perfect ratings. I brought in my wedding band to get it resized/repaired since it had been cut off by the fire department. I was told by the gentleman (assuming the manager) that they don’t do half sizes (I.e., 5.75) so I would have to choose between 5.5 or a 6. I was told it would be about 1 week for the repair. 1 week passed and I never received a call so I ended up calling to check in. I was told by the lady (other employee) she would check and give me a call back. Never received a call so I called again. I was shocked by this lack of communication since other reviews had praised them for good communication.
I went to pick up today only to be disappointed. The repair was subpar, uneven, and not what you’d expect from a highly rated jeweler. I also noticed the lack of engraving on the inside (the one that indicates the type of metal of the ring e.g., 10k/14k ). I asked Jaqueline (the only employee there) if this had been overlooked to which her response was “we don’t do that”. I found that quite odd since every most jewelers will complementary re-engrave ring after resizing (I suppose that’s my bad for assuming).
She asked if it fit right and it did not (since it had been resized to 1/4 size larger than needed). She called the manager (the guy who had taken the ring when I dropped it off) and was told they could resize it to 3/4 size for an additional $30 on top of the $100+ I had already paid. Overall extremely disappointed given the poor communication, poor repair job, and overall experience. Hope this was a one off.
