1 /5 B Brown: I requested to complete my closing out-of-town. Instead of using electronic signing and notary service (which I am using on my new home purchase) they overnighted the paperwork on a Thursday to my realtor. I signed and had it notarized and sent it back UPS overnight. On Friday afternoon I called to check on the paperwork and funding. The receptionist was rude and guessed that the delay was due to the owner not signing the loan note ????? I was unable to talk to my case worker because I was told she had 18 closings and was too busy. I called my realtor and she was able to get information that the funding still had not occurred. On the following Monday I called to ask for copies of the paperwork since no one bothered to send them to me. I did not receive the complete set of paperwork. I emailed and requested the missing forms and have NOT heard back from them. Now I am closing in Austin on a new house and this title company set up the funding ahead of time so the owners will receive their funds immediately. POOR SERVICE and RUDE, INCOMPETENT EMPLOYEES!

5 /5 Tina Hicks: We had to write a review, as we have had 3 separate occasions with Stewart Title and every one of them has been a breeze to work with. We were very happy with the staff for each purchase weve made in the last 7 months. Everything went so smoothly and no issues. They stayed on top of the things we needed and kept up with the sellers needing to get in paperwork, as sometimes that hasnt been as smooth. Which had nothing to do with Stewart Title, we were thankful they kept up with them so, we could close timely. We have done closings in person and done closings remotely and each way was easy. I know there are a couple bad reviews on here, but never had any issues. However, lets face it you cant please everyone and sometimes people should just keep negative things to themselves, when it reflects badly on a company that doesnt deserve it. Keep up the great job guys and we will be back for future business. Cheers, Tina

1 /5 Daniel Fischer: Refused to return escrow after proper contract termination because seller refused to execute termination document. My attorney advised Stewart Title that my contract language provides for return of escrow in this particular situation. Was told that it was not Stewart Titles "Policy" and that they would have their attorney review and contact us. Never happened. Totally ignored terms of contract. Property has been relisted verifying seller has acknowledged contract has been terminated and Stewart Title still wont return escrow. Unbelievable!
