1 /5 Hill Magnuson: I brought a gold ring to JH Faske for repair—two small cracks and a size adjustment from 9 to 8.5. I was quoted $176. It seemed like a lot but, I dropped it off. Later, they called asking for another $65 for the same cracks I had already pointed out. They then offered to fix just one for the $176. I declined and said I would take the ring somewhere else. 2-3 people later, they agree to honor the original price, but refused to warranty "future cracks". -Uh, Ok?
When I picked it up the welds looked great. But, they buffed the black detail out of the skulls eyes, which were part of the original design. I was told it was just "very dirty,” which was false.
Between the upselling, poor communication, and careless handling of a custom piece, I won’t be going back.
