I prefer to use an independent business when I can and despite relatively few reviews for De Franco they were strong enough to warrant giving them a try.
My beautiful wifes engagement ring needed some sprucing up after 25 years. The arms holding the stone had become bent and worn, so rather than risk losing the stone I took it in for repair.
Once inside, the owners were welcoming and we quickly determined the crown needed to be replaced rather than attempting to repair the existing crown. They messaged my phone in 48 hours to say the repair was complete. In larger chain stores, such a repair would take much longer as they tend to farm out repairs to a single source who is collecting work from many sources, but De Franco did the work themselves. When I picked up the ring I half expected to receive only the repaired ring and not the old crown. Scraps of gold are often simply lost to the repair system in place, in my experience, but De Franco also returned the old crown.
So, the store was welcoming, the owners engaging, the work was fast, the price was fair....and this was a first-time experience. Why wouldnt I return?
