1 /5 Candace Henson: Zales has bad jewelry. I purchased a name plate necklace for myself and these little cute diamond earrings for my daughter that is shaped like a flower with a pink diamond in the middle.
Long story short, I broke out terribly with bumps, a painful rash that felt itchy and hot to the touch. I had to take off the necklace immediately. Zales has a 30 day warranty and I received my necklace after the 30 day warranty.
I called customer service and I was met with “unfortunately, we won’t be able to assist you with this issue.” For both problems. The policy is 30 days for a return, 60 days for an exchange, and anything after that you can swap out your jewelry for a new piece of jewelry as long as it is AT LEAST double the price of the original piece that you’ve purchased. Huge scam. When I had asked about the policy for potential allergic reactions it was, “unfortunately, we can’t help with that.” I said ok.
The customer service agent sounded very empathetic. He wanted to do more I could hear it in his voice. But unfortunately, Zales just has really bad quality jewelry. By the way, I went to an allergist immediately after and tested negative for a silver and gold allergy. Which is what the necklace was make out of.
Please be careful. DO NOT buy from Zales. The only thing they may be able to help
you with is if your jewelry gets messed up. But please just stick to the smaller mom and pop jewelry stores the quality is way better. My necklace doesn’t even feel heavy and my daughter’s earrings broke in half bro. Lol like I can not make this up. I purchased these earrings 2 months ago and she started wearing them a month after I purchased it because I was terrified that she would break out like I did. So I had to test it out on her skin slowly but surely.
Also, you can in the picture that the flower is bent up a little. Currently going to check out some tiktok reviews in case I missed the memo that Zales is literally over priced, terrible quality jewelry. Spreading the word and awareness so that other people don’t fall victim.
