5 /5 Kelly Collins: My husband and I started working with Nick in January of 2020. We started saving for the twins college the month they were born, literally. We didn’t want to invest in other college saving programs because we knew there was a penalty if one twin didn’t go to college (basically we would loose out on money we had put into these other savings program). Our friend referred us to Nick to see how we could invest our money to basically make money off of our money. He came to our house when the twins were 19 months old during dinner time and if you’ve ever had dinner with two young kids you know it’s a hectic time. During the throwing of spaghetti and their sippy cups Nick went over our retirement plans including Shane’s state retirement as well as savings plans for the twins. He also looked into how my job at the time was investing my 401k money to see if there was anything to change around to benefit me. He also suggested making a “rainy day fund” for extra unexpected expenses which has worked in our favor big time as it has paid for our new roof going in next month plus some left over. 4+ years later we continue to work with Nick and are changing our approach at saving as I have changed jobs, even when we forget to reply to his emails and calls he makes sure to have a meeting every 6 months to make sure we’re exactly where we want to be. Do I get anything for writing this post, no. Do I get anything for referring anyone to Nick, no. I’m just happy we have done this and wish we knew about it earlier.
