Fresno Sunland has very poor customer service, VERY rude on the phone, when I asked to speak with manager, he replied that he WAS the manager.
I had asked if I would be covered if I loaned my car to a friend for a day, he was trying in every way to get me to add the name to the police or even just for the day. When I explained that I had read on Mercurys website that I would be covered he responded with "well if you already looked, why did you contact me"
I explained i just wanted to be sure, things could be different state to state or policy to policy.
I said it would be ridiculous for me to pay to add someone to my policy if I didnt have to, meaning me personally, Not that it was ridiculous for Mercury to ask. Then he said to me "did you just hear what you said?" I replied: "What?" and he repeated, "did you hear what you just said?" He then continued "You think its ridiculous to pay for adding your friend to the policy, but not ridiculous for Mercury to pay for an accident". I then explained that that was not what I meant... I tried to explain, but he just kept interrupting me.
So, I just said I would just call Mercury. Which I did and which they also advised that yes, I would be covered if I loaned my car to my friend and they were in an accident.
Needless to say, I am changing agents. There was no need for his sarcastic comments toward me.
