1 /5 J Smith: If I could rate 0 stars I would. Very shady business practice. I had a policy for many years and never had an issue. Until I tried to cancel the policy in December 2017 with Judie Murphy. I was told to fax a policy cancellation to the Santa Rosa office. Which I did but, she would not accept it unless I presented my new insurance policy. I didnt think this was necessary for privacy reasons as I was ending my business with Sherzer and Associates (Allied Insurance). So I was moved up to their recovery group as I received a phone call from an associate who also demanded a copy of the new insurance policy. I didnt think this was necessary as I was canceling my policy and no longer needed their service. That was obviously a mistake on my part as I later received notice that my account was canceled by Allied Insurance in January for non-payment. This was nearly 2 months after I attempted to cancel the account. I received a letter from a collection agency demanding payment of over $200 dollars. Mind you for services I did not receive. I am now in the process of trying to correct this by being forced to send a copy of the new policy that started in November of 2017 (that I did not want to send for privacy reasons) with hopes to resolve this issue. I do not recommend doing business here. I learned I was over insured on my policy as well as they would not allow me to cancel my policy when I requested it to be canceled. I was oversold and mistreated.
