5 /5 Claire H.: My favorite jewelry store. Hugo is an artist and creates the most beautiful jewelry. I went to Ormachea to ask Hugo to design my wedding ring from a family heirloom . He created the most beautiful ring, I couldn’t be happier. He also designed the most beautiful and unique Mother’s Day ring for me with my daughters birthstone. It was so fun to create this ring as I was able to handpick the garnet that was used. Hugo, Bertha and family are so kind and welcoming. It’s a treat every time I step foot in their beautiful store.

5 /5 Sarah Clabeaux: Hugo took my family heirloom opals from a lapidarist great-grandfather and turned them into a beautiful custom necklace. [Note, these stones have a much greater sentimental value to me than actual worth. However, the quality of the stones didnt matter to Hugo and he treated my opals with the outmost respect and care.] I had a vague idea of what I wanted based on other pieces in the store and what he created turned out better than I could have imagined. I had a price point in mind and he worked with me to choose features and a chain that would work within that target. I cant recommend Hugo enough. He is a true artist and I will be a repeat customer. :)

5 /5 Rhoi Carpena: Ormacheas jewelry is wearable art; each piece a unique combination of organic lines using an undeniable mastery in elegant proportions to create each masterpiece. Though their store has a common use of balanced a-symmetry, mixed metals, various textures, and colorful precious stones, each member of the jewelry designing family has their own unique style that is apparent. Hugos use of organic delicate lines and references to natural shapes are counter-balanced by his sons more architectural and substantial forms. Rounding out the experience is the ever hospitable Martha who I could spend hours talking to about the jewelry collection and life in general. From the first time I came across the store and struck up a conversation I knew Id be back to pick up a few pieces. So far I have a pendant and a custom ring fashioned from a loose stone I purchased from the local Ventural Gem and Mineral Show earlier this year. If only to stare at the smallest art gallery, swing by to marvel at the pieces. Youll want to pick something up eventually.

I am a visual artist and very picky about what I think is both practical to wear and timeless. I trust Hugo entirely and have been rewarded with two excellent settings for these heirlooms that I will be proud to pass down through the family. But not just yet...

We purchased earrings at that time that are still my favorites ever! Because of such a wonderful experience, both browsing and visiting with Bertha & Hugo, we knew we’d be doing business with them again. We have purchased items found in their newsletter. Calling and speaking with Bertha during the ordering process, made this a delightful personal experience. The craftsmanship of their jewelry is beyond exceptional!
