I had a vintage 1930s ring resized, and she was thorough in her assessment of the re-sizing to ensure it was done safely to protect the opals. Turn around time was quick and the pricing was very reasonable. I’m a vintage and antique jewelry collector, and my experience with jewelers in our area has been a bit varied in terms of professionalism, expertise, etc. Cynthia is a gem (pun intended) and a true asset to have in our community—thank you, Cynthia!!!

I explored every option out there: from high end luxury retailers, to online players, to wholesalers at the diamond exchange. Carats & Stones offered the elegance of high end retail without the brand markup, the uniqueness of a boutique, and the customization of endless options; they could access any stone I could find online -- and then some! -- for us to *actually see in person* before purchasing. We did a yellow diamond, which was a bit more challenging. Linda and her team were patient, knowledgeable, meticulous, discerning, and budget conscious. I wanted to be very hands on during the process, and they not only embraced that, but guided and educated me along the way. I recently got my engagement ring repaired and asked them to have it done within a week and they were very obliging and eager! They got it done right on time and the work was beautiful. Cheri was welcoming, sweet and funny. She explained the repair process clearly. She assured me that Lance, the owner and sole repair specialist, would take good care of my ring. And he did! Lance worked his magic to make my ring look like new again. I noticed some reviews mentioned same-day service, but my ring took 2-3 weeks. Maybe I visited during a busy time or my ring needed extra TLC, but the wait was well worth it. 10/10

Dont4get2smile What a RARE find in the Ontario Mills Mall! A small, beautiful booth...owned by a super sweet and talented BLACK woman jeweler selling wonderful art. I was on my way to Oakleys near by to buy my husband some shades when I noticed the boutique store. I ended up buying a wonderful container to hold my husbands “cooking herbs” that has a nice wooden stopper and a wonderous colorful Geode right on top! It was very affordable; I wish I had an opportunity to buy more! Happy to help support a fellow African American’s Small Business in a sea on NOT African American Owned businesses in that HUGE mall. Next time you are in the area stop by and show some LOVE!!! :)
