1 /5 Claudia V: I was so excited to find a long standing, local shop to support, but unfortunately it is not worth supporting. I went in, waited 10 mins for Elise to finish her conversation with someone about her dislike of the city police and the lack of support they have for their business, all the while she would periodically look at me but say nothing.. for TEN mins. I thought ok, shes chatty, but she must have a good relationship with her customers.
I had a necklace repaired with a little delay, but no big deal so I placed an order for a ring and was told it would be ready within a couple wks and I would receive a call. 3 wks later I call and was told by Elise that she left me a voicemail with questions and hadnt heard back. I frequently check my messages and never received one. She asked to confirm the information we discussed when I placed the order, which I thought was odd because she had written it all down, but I confirmed and she said the ring would be ready within a wk and I would receive a call. Again, wks pass, no call, no messages. I call after 3 wks again and Elise says they have had phone line problems and so she has been unable to call me. I asked if the ring was ready and she said it was not but she would have it ready, again, within a wk. I went in to the store FOUR wks later (this is 2 mons after placing the order!) after not receiving a call again, assuming I would just be able to pick up the ring, it was NOT ready. She went on and on again about phone issues, wanted to chat about her bad luck of phone and AC issues and random subjects, without addressing the issue of my 2 month old order not being complete. I explained it was a gift and I absolutely needed it within 5 days, and she apologized and "promised" it would be ready. She advised I just head in to pick it up by the weeks end. I showed up as planned, NO RING! MORE EXCUSES about the phone lines and she just tried making many unrelated excuses and said "Im so sorry, what I can do to make it up to you?" What is going on here? No communication, constant excuses, attempts to just sit around and chat with me about anything but the whole reason I was there, no attempt to explain WHY THE RING WAS NEVER MADE. Maybe she has some kind of mental health issue going on? Why ask what can you do to make it up? I just need the ring I ordered almost 3 months ago? Super weird.
I do not understand the point of leading me on for so long. Why could she not simply be honest from the beginning and tell me either that it wouldnt be ready, or that there would be a long wait, or that they simply did not want my business? I cant understand the point of all the hassle and no attempt to explain what the issue was? Everytime I went in there, she was chatting with someone with things that had nothing to do with the business, there were papers all over the desk, and she could never find my order form she wrote.
They either need to find another receptionist/customer service rep or close down because she is FULL OF IT, unorganized, a liar, and is horrible as the face and voice of a business.
