1 /5 Pavel A: We had a fire at our house. 12/8/24 Emily Sperry reached out the next day was really nice right away. Little did we know we were getting screwed right away. The biggest thing is they use these 1.6 star companies from other states like Alacrity to review contents and rental bids and then they just cut the cost by a lot on everything and then Emily Sperry just wires the money what ever they price for her. Of course just like the other reviews they CANCELED US. And there is lots of things we’re figuring out that we don’t have coverage for. We are still struggling here. Everything takes extra long. I am hoping someone from Grange can reach out to us and help us.

They didnt cover half the damage to our home from a tree fall and are refusing to pay more of our "loss of use" rental, because our county didnt issue our permit in a timely fashion (out of our control). They also switched our agent (miss the original one who seemed to care about our situation). Im quite certain well be dropped. Then we can hunt for a more responsive company. If I could give zero stars I would. We are over 6 months away from the tree fall, and theyre blaming US.

1 /5 Bev Orms: First Claim I filled after 3 yrs premiums this company canceled my insurance. Says a lot about this company. Yall arent the only insurance company! I called them and I asked who Brian J Allen was since his signature was on the bottom of this letter. The women who answered the phone said hes a senior associate, I said whats his title she said I dont know. Then she hung up on me. Brian J Allen is the cheif risk officer. Just in case his name is at the bottom of your letter. Hey Brian here is some information for you! 1 /5 Buster McGehee: Grange Insurance is the last company I would ever choose. Stay away ! I was with them for 10 years home and auto. One minor accident and they canceled me. Thats the thanks you get for 10 years of no accidents or tickets. I truly believe it was age discrimination.

1 /5 sparkey v: I had all coverage with Grange for over 25 years/ car/house/umbrella. I had a water pipe break under house on xmas 2024. Reported it immediately to agent And seattle office. This was an excruitaing experience. I had only 1 other clsim for a limb damaging my truck about 8 years prior. My only other claim. Grange inhouse claims adjustor called to send out their “experts” to review the under house dsmage. Meanwhile I called a remediation company to acess damage ( damage was in a dug basement, not an interior basement. Overall the damage was handled by the remediation company. When the Grange “neutral” claims adjustor showed up at my house he did not even speak to me regarding the damage. Meanwhile grange sent out their “experts” HVAC, Electrical, who were in their back pocket. The inhouse claims adjuster went on vacation. Only follow up response was from the mitigation contractor. Even though I called repeatedly and got my insurance agent involved, they left me hanging, without communication for over 3 weeks. Whether they considered lpayimg for damsges/ or not. . The hvac guy they sent over was one of the rudest people I have ever dealt with. He couldn’t figure out how to turn the interior heat system on. He spent 10 minutes under the house then came in and said I needed s new heat system. His quote was 16,500. I pay- not insuranceclaim. The electric guy was great, but stated “ I know how insurance claims go”. I had no idea what was coming ! After the inside claims lady got back from vaca she got sick so would not respond to my emails or calls. . 3 weeks later after repeated calls she finally called me back. Meanwhile my homeowners bill came due and I was under so much stress that i paid it on the 11th day and they cancelled the policy. I ended up with pnemonia because of the lack of heat. Grange used to be a good company. They are horrible now. This is only half of the story. They created so much havoc around this claim that Iwould not use themas insurance for ANY reason. Their underwriter said i was using a hazardous portable heater because I asked my agent if I could get one due to lack of heat (Electric forced air) while repairs were being completed. Then the underwriter said it was dangerous and that was part of the cancellation decision! It was actually an oil register portable heater (no open flame)and they shut off automatically if tipped over. This entire experience was a disaster. They keep people in the dark until you are so upset that you can’t even function, they are a HORRIBLE company.. Notice ALL THE WE ARE SORRY COMMENTS From corporate. What a joke. This is their mode of operation. They want your$$$ but leave you hanging when you need them. Call your stste and file s complaint!!!
