Bromleys Mom The Strebel Planning Group is a terrific organization. They are calm, kind, reliable, supportive, welcoming, and I have always been happy with their services. Their office is beautiful and peaceful but not ostentatious, and they are excellent hosts so it is easy to be comfortable while doing business there. They explain things clearly and work with the client at the clients own level. I never mind that they are not right downtown because the way there is so pretty and the destination so pleasant.

Rebecca Murphy-Fish Small location with only 2 tellers inside. I just wanted to give this location 5 stars because goddess bless the teller the day I was there who had to deal w/ a nasty middle aged white lady and did so professionally and kindly.

D A I live pay check to pay check and Ive gotten a car loan and a personal loan from this bank, both without issue. I havent tried calling for customer service as other people complain about but going through the app Ive gotten immediate responses. Theyve never made errors or done me wrong, and are a HUGE upgrade in every way from my experience with Tompkins trust in trumansburg. Night and day difference, and Im thankful they exist.

Amber Donofrio I typically go to the Meadow Street branch and always have a positive experience there, but this location on the Commons is really convenient, especially since neither branch is open on Saturdays anymore so it can be harder to fit in a visit in-between work. The issue is that CFCUs "transformation center" is confusing. After a few years, I still dont know what the term "transformation center" even means. Its nice if you just need to use the atm, but its unclear what other services the branch offers or doesnt offer, as its set up more loosely than a typical bank location. Its also sometimes unclear who to speak to and there can be a line as theres only one teller. Im happy we have a location downtown, but wish it was a more traditional branch. I will say the 24-hr atm access is very convenient, though.

Kerry Demarest Anytime I have a client (Im a bookkeeper) who wants to change banks but remain local, I recommend CFCU. This has been the case even before they hired Shine who handles business accounts. But its Shine who is so helpful, efficient, and knowledgeable that makes me appreciate this bank so much Im writing a review. Since I only work with small businesses, its a fairly old-school concept that I get a real, dedicated person to assist with my accounts. It used to be like that with all the banks here, but that kind of relationship with a bank has been disappearing for years. Thank you Shine for all your help with all my clients all the time! I appreciate CFCU, and especially you!

Fitzwilliam Darcy The worst financial institution I have ever dealt with-- ever! The robotic phone menu is maddening and lacks sufficient options. When you do get a human on the phone (after a half-hour wait), they are ill-informed and incompetent. They keep claiming I have a savings account when I dont. They are incapable of following simple instructions regarding an RMD. I wanted direct deposit but couldnt set-up online and after nearly an hour speaking to two representatives, I decided to stick with a check mailed to my home. Yet, a few days later, TIAA used the account and routing # given initially for my checking account and without my knowledge or consent, indeed despite my express request to a representative not to do so, they withdrew small sums from my checking account to God knows where-- and then I received a form letter saying that they could not "complete" my request for an RMD-- Now, as I type this, I am on hold yet again (3rd call in 2 weeks) waiting over 1/2 for another rep to clarify what is going on. As I said, worst financial institution ever. I will try and get my money out totally asap! This was a simple request for a RMD and they are totally unable to process this. Go elsewhere if you can.

David White My relationship with Thomkins Insurance started when I applied for a HELCO. During that process I spoke to an agent about my home owners policy but decided to stay with Security Mutual. This spring all my policies were up for renewal in June. My previous agent who had been with for years retired. I took that opportunity to look into upgrade my policies and saving Some money. That when I had a conversation with Lisa. She reviewed my policies and found a couple of issues that were costing me extra. I was able to get a refunded on the overcharged items. Lisa came back with premiums on my three policies that saved me some money. I was able to cancel my existing policies and get a full refund. Tammy Graham I have multiple accounts with Chemung and I love the girls up on the Hanshaw branch near my office. Unlike a previous bank I had, its nice to see the same faces every time I go in. There is no employee turn-around here which says a lot for the bank. There are just a few tweaks that I wish the checking accounts could do.
