Poor Communication, No Advocacy, and Repeated Pressure to Accept High Rates
My experience with North & Star Insurance Agency has been consistently frustrating. I had to cancel both my homeowners and auto insurance through them because they repeatedly failed to act in my best interest as a client.
Instead of shopping around for better rates or offering alternative carriers, they simply pushed me to accept higher and higher renewal rates — offering little to no explanation or effort to find more competitive pricing. When I canceled my property policy, they forwarded messages from the carrier but offered no refund breakdown and no support in transitioning coverage — despite multiple documented requests.
Emails often went unanswered, and any communication I did receive was vague or dismissive. It felt like their main priority was to protect the insurer, not the client who is actually paying them.
If you expect your insurance agency to advocate for you, to communicate clearly, and to help you manage risk cost-effectively — I strongly recommend avoiding North & Star Insurance Agency.
