1 /5 S Santana: Don’t do it, you can do better. For 4 years I have been a client. Denied a homeowner insurance claim. Recently, I was told my account was active by the broker and they could backdate if lapsed. I waited 2 days as it seems to not be a big deal. Payment was made, a letter in the mail showed lapse. I was lied to and during those 2 days the consequences could have been loss of license for 1 year, $1,500 dollars and more. They didn’t care nor seemed aware of the consequences with DMV. Next, my premium was raised about $250 w/no accidents or tickets. Big disconnect between Erie and broker and would not acknowledge they said something would happen and then took it back. They then resorted to counting how many times I was late, 6 times in 4 years to distract from their mistake.
If you say something to a customer and your message has huge consequences, just do it and own the mistake. Customer service is not the same it was, but worse. You can get better service for a better price.
