5 /5 Maggie Tittler: I cannot speaking highly enough of Herricks Jewelers. This store is family owned (woohoo!) and my family has been going to it for years, but it wasnt until recently that I was able to experience this gem as an adult. I stopped in after trying three other jewelers in hopes of taking some family jewelry and turning it into a wedding band that fit with my (low pronged) engagement ring. Some places I was told it wasnt possible, and some places said the stones werent worth enough to reset them. At Herricks, I worked mostly with Mike and John, whose expertise and love of what they do was so evident from the second I walked into the store. I found it exhausting to search for a jeweler who would not only take the time to hear my ideas, evaluate the stones and metals I brought in without judgement, and prioritize sentimentality over current fads, but Mike immediately gave me his full, undivided attention. He was patient and receptive to both my ideas and my concerns, and he and John took the time to explain the science behind all of methods they used for the steps along the way. Everyone in the store truly make my ideas come to life (even the folks behind the scenes!).
When you walk into the store, youre not going to get the artificial, bright lights and white granite floors that you find at other jewelers-- but the work they do at Herricks Jewelers is genuine, meticulous, and beautiful from start to finish. I will be forever grateful they were able to give a second life to my grandmothers ring and for giving me an experience that will be one day passed down with my "new" jewelry.
Thanks Mike, John, and Crew!
