1 /5 Zhanna Anzorova: Extremely Disappointed with Geico’s Misleading Pricing and Poor Customer Service
I recently had a very frustrating and disappointing experience with Geico. When I first applied for car insurance, I was quoted a price of $139,51 which seemed fair and reasonable. Based on this, I agreed to go ahead and provide all of my personal and vehicle information and card number. However, after finalizing the policy, Geico charged me $290—more than double the amount I was originally quoted.
This was completely misleading, and when I contacted customer service to resolve the issue, they refused to honor the original price. I provided all the information, but they wouldn’t budge on the final cost. This kind of deceptive pricing is not what I expected from a company like Geico. I feel like I was tricked into agreeing to the policy with a lower price, only to be hit with a much higher charge once I committed.
I have been a loyal customer of other insurance companies in the past, but this experience has really damaged my trust in Geico. I will be seriously considering switching to another insurer and would not recommend Geico to anyone based on my experience. Terrible transparency, misleading pricing, and unhelpful customer service.
