5 /5 Michael Walsh: Purchased a gorgeous vintage ring as a gift for my wife and Fortune (Gary in particular) couldnt have been more pleasant to buy from.
Not only was the listed price of the ring fair, Gary was kind enough to include sales tax, shipping, AND sizing in the final price, making it something of a bargain. And on a ring my wife had already seen and was adamant I should do everything in my power to get for her - Gary could have easily had me over a barrel on the price, but instead chose to be the better man and give me a deal! And who doesnt want to save a few bucks, right?
As to the size of the ring, I knew it would be too small and needed to go up a couple of sizes. Now I was a bit freaked out about this because I wanted to be certain it went right the first time, and I spent literally days with my wifes existing collection and a caliper trying to make sure I got it right. After going back and forth a couple of times over whether to go 9 or 9.25 I eventually decided on 9. Gary even told me that I could ship the ring back for resizing if Id gotten it wrong (it turned out that I was bang on).
Another concern is how "new" a 30-40 year old ring could look and, as it turned out, I neednt have worried - I dont know if this was carefully purchased by Fortune or if they restored it to perfection, but the ring is spectacular. You cant even tell where gold has been added for the resizing.
Communication was stellar, sizing was quick, and shipping was 2nd day air via UPS. Overall, an extremely nice buying experience.
