1 /5 Pete Hill: Terrible customer service. Weiss insurance bought out my original insurance agents. They fired the customer service girls who use to help with quotes, additional coverage, claims and general information. Now they have one person who repeats he’s not my agent and does nothing. I’m glad I didn’t need something important. My Travelers Home Owner Insurance jumped $700 this year with no previous claims. Car insurance too. Weiss Insurance is an Independent agency representing multiple insurance companies. I went to the agency a week ago and ask if they would shop rates for me. A week went by and I didn’t hear from them. I saved $1,500 a year going with State Farm. State Farm and other companies I shopped actually wanted my business. I went to the Weiss Agency to cancel my policies. As usual, the door was locked. I called the number on the door, no response. I left and came back half an hour later. Door still locked even though a car was in the parking lot. I sat in my car and finally found a Traveler’s person on my phone who would cancel my policies. The Weiss Insurance Agent saw me sitting in the parking lot and came out while I was talking to Travelers on my phone. I asked him if he had a cancellation form inside I could sign and he said no. I rolled up my window. If you want an insurance agency who has your back, is credible, and is accessible when you have questions or problems, Weiss Insurance is not for you.
