5 /5 Tom: Lake Forest Jewelers is a reliable jewelry store in the Chicago suburbs. Mike and Mike Sr. were extremely helpful throughout the entire shopping process for my wifes engagement ring. I imagine engagement ring shopping can get pretty overwhelming/intimidating, but not with Lake Forest Jewelers! Any stress or anxiety I had about ring shopping were put to rest the moment I stepped into their store. They took the time to understand exactly what we were after while still educating me about the four Cs of diamonds. We ultimately decided on designing the perfect engagement ring for my wife. When it was time to get wedding bands, Mike helped us find a wedding band for my wife that matched the engagement ring. We had a band picked out before visiting the store, but Mike coached us out of that band since it would have looked strange if ever worn without her engagement ring - sure glad he helped us not make that mistake! Mike and Mike Sr. at Lake Forest Jewelers were sincere and honest throughout the entire process. I will be sure to visit Lake Forest Jewelers for any special occasions for years to come!

To start, my beautiful engagement ring and wedding band are from here, as well as my husbands custom engraved wedding band. The experience of choosing these pieces was magical. This has also become our go-to place for restoring, repairing, and reimagining hand-me-down or antique jewelry. Who knew there was another option besides letting it sit in your jewelry box keeping your rings company? Amazing work and always a delight to do business with. If you want to appreciate jewelry in a whole new way, go spend a few minutes talking with Mike. Were lifetime customers, and Im sure you will be, too.

Mike is incredibly knowledgeable and a pleasure to work with. He can help you find the perfect rings, gifts, etc. for your loved ones. He was patient and not pushy at all (like you see at a lot of other chain jewelry stores). The store has a great atmosphere and everyone knows their stuff! Weve gone back several times for cleanings and to have other pieces looked at/fixed.
