1 /5 Patrick Khajehtoorian: Unreliable agents and poor customer service. I purchased a home insurance policy (Mercury Insurance) through Crescenta Valley Insurance. When I had a payment issue, I had to repeatedly follow up with my agent just to get a response. Despite my efforts, I received no meaningful help and ultimately lost my home policy—right before a major wildfire in Los Angeles. I was left completely stranded by Crescenta Valley Insurance. Disappointed and frustrated by the lack of support.

1 /5 Josh Yang: I usually dont write reviews, but my negative experience with CVI compelled me to write one. Everything with CVI was fine, until I wanted to cancel my car insurance policy with Mercury. I contacted them requesting a cancellation of the policy, signed the necessary paperwork, and was told that the cancellation would be processed the day I requested it (Jan 30). Fast forward about a month later (Feb 26), and I get a debit for the Mercury insurance policy premium that was supposedly cancelled. I emailed them regarding the issue, and was simply told "My apology, we will get that reimbursed for you.". No explanation was given as to why the charge was issued. When pressed regarding a timeline as to when the reimbursement would occur, I was simply told "Soon". When asked for proof of cancellation, CVI only provided a copy of the signed cancellation request (documentation showing that the policy was actually cancelled was not provided). Due to a lack of communication and transparency, I contacted the Mercurys customer support to see if they could help. It turns out that CVI did not process my cancellation request, and only submitted the paperwork after I emailed them regarding the charge on my account (Feb 26). I emailed CVI again to inquire as to why the insurance cancellation was not submitted, when they told me that it was. As of the writing of this review: - CVI has not responded to my email, and has not responded to any emails since Ive inquired about the cancellation that was not submitted. - CVI has not provided any proof that the cancellation request was submitted. - CVI has not provided any documentation confirming cancellation of the policy. I consider it a red flag when the actual insurance company is more helpful than the insurance broker. I understand that people can make mistakes, but taking ownership of and communicating said mistakes to customers goes a long way. Had the company apologized and communicated with me the details of the situation, I would not have written this review. I would not recommend this company due to the lack of transparency, communication, and overall lack of professionalism. Save yourself the trouble, eliminate the middle man, and get your insurance rates/quotes via the internet.

OMG so quick so professional that I just switched from my old agent which I was not happy with to Cresenta Valley Insurance just because Shawn is very knowledgeable,professional and he really try to make customer happy. We’re so happy and relieved that we switched to CVI. I highly recommend CVI guys because no one I mean no one could get me a quote with Travelers but Shawn did. Thank you so much CVI looking forward to long happy business relationship

1 /5 Roy Hsu: The company’s agent Bill didn’t inform me that I had an issue with my policy until I found out about it 8 months later. Maria who works with Bill doesn’t even apologize for the mistake and just said “I have nothing to do with this” I’d personally avoid this company if I could because their staff takes no accountability when it comes to clients.

2 /5 Rony Mirzaians: I don’t normally leave negative reviews and I want this to be a reflection of my experience only. A few weeks back I submitted a request on their website and a few days later I received a voicemail from a gentleman named Bill. I made a few attempts to call him back but his VM was full so I called the office and was transferred to him . We discussed my needs(commercial) and I answered all the questions and was assured that I would get a call back that day if not the following day. Well, 4 days past and I received no response . I called in again and this time spoke to John. I explained to John that my experience was less than ideal and he explained that they have been very busy as of late and while that wasn’t an excuse he would work to assist me after speaking with Bill. That was last week, it’s not Wednesday of the following week and I haven’t received a call from John or Bill. While I can understand that it’s good to be busy it’s the customers that keep you that way. If this is the pre sales experience it makes me wonder what the customer experience is looking like as of late .
