1 /5 Sofia Morales: Got here at 7:20AM because the lady at the desk looked me dead in the face and told me to get here then. They don’t open until 8. Yes you can wait in line, but I didn’t see the point considering there were only 5 or so people before me. The person who came in after me was apparently “the last one” for the morning. Now, the email you receive after you finish the application online says that walk in hours are from 8:30AM-10:30AM. Why even put that on there if that isn’t the case and you all just pick and choose when the cut off is? Secondly, as I sit in KCR I have seen a total of 4 people now, only 4 people, have actually been seen. It’s now 9:36. The last people came out of their office at 9:19 and 9:28. What are we doing with our time? I know that notes and what not take time, however you all have no idea what time management is, obviously. I work in a physical therapist office, I’ve worked in 4 in my life and I also have tricare. Now if you know anything about tricare in kitsap county you know that there is only one hospital we go to for our appointments and that’s naval hospital Bremerton. If you know anything about them, you know that wait times are literally the worst. This place tops it. And that alone speaks VOLUMES. I have no idea if they’ll even help me today, I have all necessary documentation that they told me to bring, so it’s 50/50 shot, but it’s the only shot I have. Lastly I’ll end with this, please remember what it’s like being a patient, or being someone who just needs help. Try and put yourself in those shoes. Have a little human kindness in world that doesn’t even know the meaning.

1 /5 caleb yuill: I want to express my deep disappointment with our recent experience at Kitsap Resources regarding our housing assistance inquiry. When we reached out, we were simply seeking guidance—hoping for information on available resources to help ensure we had a safe place to stay. Unfortunately, rather than receiving the compassion and support one might expect in such a vulnerable situation, we were met with outright abrasiveness and an unwelcoming attitude from our case manager. Her demeanor was not only unprofessional but outright dismissive. Instead of offering assistance or even basic courtesy, she seemed more focused on scrutinizing our circumstances—particularly the fact that we live in Belfair—than on providing meaningful help. Rather than guiding us toward possible solutions, she made us feel as though we were unwelcome and unworthy of the very resources meant to support those in need. It is disheartening to encounter such hostility in a setting designed to help people navigate difficult times. No one seeking assistance should be made to feel like a burden or an inconvenience. Compassion and respect should be fundamental in this line of work, and I sincerely hope that Kitsap Resources re-evaluates how their staff interacts with the people they are meant to serve.

1 /5 Z R: Beware landlords if you have any potential tenants that have assistance through KCR. They are MONTHS behind on rent payment and are horrible at communicating with both the landlord and the tenants. Steer clear!

5 /5 Eve Combs: I had a 1900 energy bill I was missing meals to pay back gradually. KCR and the Washington Families Clean Energy Credits Grant Program paid it. I’m not sure how else to say thank you other than paying it forward the best that I can and I will. Thank you so much.
