BECU credit union - Renton (WA)

1 /5 m!chae¡: I can’t rate an ATM on here so just know this is nothing more than beef between me and the ATMs at BECU. I honestly do not understand why BECU is one of the only ATMS that will not return your card before you get your cash, I’ll use another ATM once or twice, forget this principal, and BAM my card is shredded. (1 star for security at least) I think over the past 5 years I have had to replace 20 or so debit cards because of this. Has this happened at literally any other ATM? No! Because they do things in a logical order where they return your card BEFORE your cash. Will I probably do this again to avoid ATM fees? Probably. Do I still hope they will change this? Yes, please! Again I have literally never interacted with anything more than your ATM, but now I look at my wallet, one pouch empty and sad because once again my local BECU ATM decided to take my lapse in judgement and take it as a late night snack. Mind you this doesn’t take long either as all I did was go back to my car and realize and it was already gone. Again, love the security measure, but we could probably save some plastic by doing that in another order, peace and love! ❤️

1 /5 U T: This is the worst BECU location there possibly could be. They chose the worlds smallest parking lot shared with 10 other businesses and a very busy 7/11. You will never find parking here. I tried going early on a Friday, no parking. Tried going later on a Friday, again no parking. Due to the 7/11 the parking lot is also full of very unsavory people and good luck getting in/out of this lot due to traffic at the intersection. I highly recommend you avoid this branch, even for the ATM. Just go to the tukwila location its actually faster than sitting waiting to get out of this place

1 /5 Juliann: I went in to get an address change and a new credit card sent to my new address. The process took a long time anyways and I could tell something was wrong as she needed someone else to come look at my information. After ensuring me my new credit card will go to my new address…it didn’t. After two weeks of waiting I called BECU and they confirmed it was sent to my old address. Not happy at all with that experience and the fact that I have to wait another 2 weeks to get another one sent is not ideal. Update 5/31/2022 - I do have to wait another 2 weeks for my credit card. And by the way the email they tell you to contact in their “candid” response to all these bad reviews…I emailed them and they haven’t replied. Just a way to show they have good customers service when it’s just for show.

1 /5 Florencio Coria: My first experience here was terrible decided to give them another try 5 years later and service is still terrible. Came in for a simple line increase the lady that attending me was so negative. Said I probably wasnt going to get approved for more then i already have and I should just get a new credit card. Before ever running my credit. I went to the landing location and they were nothing but kind I was in and out in about 8 mins with more than I originally wanted for an increase. Will definitely not be coming back to this location again.
