1 /5 Kurt Mattes: Purchasing a home in Bastrop, TX. Did my homework on local insurance agents - reviews on this company do not reflect reality. Called them for a homeowners quote. They made me call back 3 times, claiming that if the person they were sending me to did not answer, they would get me someone who would. Their phone rang and rang, and each time they sent me to another agents line that went to voicemail. WAIT - its 2019, their receptionist cannot tell when a call they handled goes to voicemail or that the person is not there or that the person is already on a call? Reason enough to question the practices of this company.
Call #3 (4 actually, on one occasion I hung up after it rang 24 times), I decide to leave a voice message. Day and a half later, crickets. There have been no recent disasters, the weather has been fine, I cannot imagine what would prevent one of their hundreds of people from returning my call. Perhaps they already make enough to not need another customer. Bottom line is, when I need insurance (not a bill to pay premiums so I have insurance), WHEN I NEED INSURANCE, their unprofessional behavior makes it clear - it is highly unlikely these folks will be there.
