Garcias Jewelry - Edinburg

Crystal Tan I just Googled this place to have my jewelry repaired. I had my earrings lock repaired and my watch battery replaced. you have to drive by slowly to not miss the place bec it’s not a big one. It has a small driveway for you to park. The older gentleman greeted me, he doesn’t speak much english and I don’t speak spanish but he was able to understand what I needed fixed. He fixed my earrings and replaced the battery of my watch in 20 minutes! He charged me $40 and I thought that was a reasonable price. They only accept cash or zelle for payment. I highly recommend this place. If you are also looking for jewelry, Garcia’s has a lot that you can check out.

Macroplaza Mall - Pasadena

Dashiell Allen-Smith This place is… something. First of all, I visited late May of 2022, on a Saturday. Anyway, if you want to go shopping, I do not think that this will be your place. Macy’s closed in 2017, Palais Royal closed in 2020 alongside Sears, and Dillards closed in 2006. I should also add that the food court has been vacant for years. Heck, the Claire’s, the one really decent-looking store, closed a while before I arrived, not to mention that a third of the mall (the playground and the empty hallways towards Macy’s) have been closed since the pandemic. However, despite ALL of these flaws, I thoroughly enjoyed it. The styling, though slightly refurbished roughly 5 or so years ago, still looks similar to how it did when it opened in 1982. The Palais Royal still has it’s logo in place, but so does the Sears. So if you enjoy dated architectural design, I would highly recommend. EDIT: I went back during Thanksgiving week, and the place is not doing too hot. The only name brand store, which I believe was a FootAction, has closed since I last went last May. Just a fare warning, the area is not the safest (certainly no Greenspoint or Sharpstown, but still enough that you should be more careful), and that the old Macy’s may have a homeless person or two. Don’t worry, as the mall itself should be fine, since the only people there are getting exercise. Only go after dark if you know what you are doing. In conclusion, if you want to go, do so sooner rather than later since I doubt the longevity of this mall. EDIT 2: I added more photos from Thanksgiving Week 2022, this time from my camera, as I forgot to put the photos of it on here. The new photos do not reflect the current state of the mall, again as they are from a couple of months ago.

Eagles Shadow Trading Post - Midland

Tracy Dhamers Eagle Shadow Trading Post is truly a hidden gem. Their selection of jewelry is unlike anything I’ve ever seen—each piece is one-of-a-kind and completely unique. From necklaces and rings to watch bands and charm bracelets, everything is handcrafted with authentic stones and real silver. Some of the precious stones are sourced all the way from Italy, while their turquoise comes from all over New Mexico and Arizona, giving each piece its own story. The colors are breathtaking—especially the corals—and the craftsmanship is out of this world. They even offer custom work, so you can have something made that’s truly your own. If you’re looking for authentic, timeless, and unique jewelry, Eagle Shadow Trading Post is the place to go
