5 /5 Emily Morgan: A little background first. I purchased a ring from another store in another town. And after I bought it, I did some research and found out that it wasnt what I was told that I was purchasing. When I went to return it, they wouldnt give me my money back until I took the ring to Jewelry 2000 to confirm that the stone wasnt natural. Apparently he repairs pieces that they sell in their store. I was really expecting him to align himself with the store since they already do business together. But figured i would try anyway. I am ashamed to say that I totally misjudged the situation.
I get to his store in Baytown and the door is locked and nobody answers when I call. Im about to cry, I really wanted this situation resolved. We get back into our truck and someone in another vehicle stops behind our parked truck. I get out and its the owner!! He didnt just drive right by. He told me that something had come up and he wouldnt be back in the store until Tuesday. (This was Friday) anyway, i quickly explain to him why I was there and show him the ring. He tells me that my suspicions are likely correct but he would have to look under a microscope to be sure. He looked torn, like he really had to deal with something else like ASAP. Then he said to "come with me." He actually unlocked the store and went to verify the original of the stone. I was correct and he had me call the store where I purchased it and he told them that I was correct. I was absolutely speechless. My husband offered to pay him but he wouldnt accept. Sir, ( i think you said your name is Steve) from the bottom of my heart, thank you for your time, patience and your honesty. I will send anyone looking for jewelry or repairs your way.
Oh... and my money was returned with no questions asked. :)
