5 /5 Sharon Elaine: UPDATE: Wednesday, March 3rd. I received a call that my taxes were done and ready to be picked up. The lady was very nice as were the two in the office when I picked them up. Yes it took longer this year than in the past but this isnt a typical year...they had their own clientele plus those from Allegheny Tax, the IRS pushing back the date that you could start filing, the stimulus money plus the IRS electronic filing wasnt up. Overall, I am pleased. UPDATE: Tuesday, February 23rd I called to ask what the status of my income tax was, and spoke with a very nice lady who said that she remembered seeing mine and asked when I dropped it off which I answered last Monday. She said that it will be another week, and said the delay was because the IRS electronic filing was late getting up and running. PRIOR: Val from Allegheny Tax has done my taxes since 2016, and this year would have been no different. I had an appointment to drop off my taxes on Monday, February 15th at 1:00. It is now a week later and I have not heard from them. My taxes are not that complicated. My experience with the lady was pleasant. She waited patiently while I logged into my bank account to answer her questions regarding the stimulus payments. I was told that Val sold Allegheny Tax to Mark at DiGiorgio Financial Group (they grew up together), and that Val retired. I was also told that the electronic filing was not up for the IRS, and that they (DiGiorgio) never did electronic filing in the past so that was all new to them, and that in the past DiGiorgio always completed the paperwork and mailed it or returned it to the customer to mail. I will follow-up with them in a day or two about the status of my taxes and will update the review than.

1 /5 Louren S: If you would like to give yourself a headache go here! I had an appointment to drop off my taxes on Monday morning I havent heard from them as of today Saturday. I called to see if there was a problem , on Tuesday and Wednesday the woman on the phone was extremely rude and screamed in the phone " We will call you when you taxes are ready both times. " I asked for a turn around time on both days and she couldnt give me one . I would not recommend this place. I went here because Allegheny Tax in McKeesport moved and supposedly merged with them. This was a recommendation from Allegheny Tax. I will be picking up my taxes on Monday probably incomplete from the DiGiorgio Group and going somewhere else. This is the worst experience I have had doing my taxes and Allegheny Tax made a huge mistake working with them . I went to Allegheny Tax for years and sorry no longer when DiGiorgio treats customers like this. I as a customer do not deserved to be screamed at on the phone by the tall blonde lady . I know it is her because she is whom I dropped my taxes off with and its her voice. I will prepare myself to get screamed at again on Monday when they reopen with a request to pick up my taxes. I will be happy to go to a more cheerful place that appreciates my business. I wish the DiGiorgio luck and being more professional in the future.

1 /5 Mark Campagna: We have been using this service for the last 6 years, with no problems until now.. Federal Taxes supposedly e-filed March 18. Waited 3 weeks , then started checking "Wheres my refund" on IRS site. Not even showing as received or in process. Called the office , they assured me everybody was behind, be patient. Checked IRS every day for 1 MORE MONTH. Nothing , called preparer, they said , its ok dont worry everybody is taking a few months because of COVID. Checked IRS every day for 1 MORE MONTH. Called IRS June 6, They said the return was rejected because of a 1099 EIN# issue on MARCH 29 !! Called preparer, he called IRS, did not call me back I HAd to call them. Said everything was OK , it should show up soon now. waited 48 hours. Still nothing showing up on IRS website Going to call them again today this will be my 5th phone call to them

1 /5 Emilia Gliozzi: Due to Allegheny Tax selling their business to this company, we used them to prepare our 2020 tax return. Val ad the best customer service. Due to a huge mistake this company made on our return, we now owe the IRS. When we called them to review, they stated they had a lot of people with the same issue. And that was it. No offer to amend return or refile. Will not use again or ever recommend.

1 /5 Marianne Barnhart: Would love to rate them as 0 stars but 1 is as low as it goes. Val from Allegheny Tax was wonderful and if there ever was a question, she didnt hesitate to contact me. However, had I known she retired, I would have went elsewhere. This was the WORST experience I have ever had with an accountant. "Theyre swamped" is the reason I was given, as to why my taxes werent done in a timely manner and their sloppy mistakes. After arguing with a man named Sharon about my taxes being e-Filed, I was told "ooh, you must have been one of the ones who hasnt received their return yet?" It was 3 weeks after I picked my taxes up and always before, when Val e-Filed them, I would get a fast return Im less than a week. So I hired an accountant, after I already paid these clowns, to find the mistakes and there was one. I contacted DiGeorgio once more to make them aware that they messed up and was told it would be fixed. Here we are, week #5, after the corrections and I still havent received my return. NEVER AGAIN will I use this company! Please, go somewhere else. Theyre "swamped" with existing clientele. Good luck!
