1 /5 Christine Muska: I chose Erie Insurance through Schenk and Miles for my vehicle because of their locality. I like to shop small business whenever possible! However, after quoting me a rate approximately $60 less than what they charged me on a monthly basis (with only a deer hit and change of address ticket on my record), it became clear that this company was not worth my time. I called about the price difference and got a very snippy agent that never contacted me again as she said she would. Later, I recieved a renewal notice months before I should have, threatening to cancel. I chose to join my new husbands insurance through Geico and pay $150 less than I paid with Erie! I was ecstatic! Once again, as if I should be surprised, Erie put the screws to me by charging me three times after my policy had ended with them! It took a month + to resolve this with more headaches and a check that did not amount to the same that I was charged those three times! The lady on the phone let me know that I owed them more* than the outrageous amount I was already being charged because I opted out of the policy early..even though they sent ME the renewal notice! Sooooo glad to be done with the agency! My advice is this. Do not get into bed with these people! You will truly regret it!
