5 /5 Rachel Slavin: Highly, highly recommend! Roger is so talented, he designed both a necklace and my engagement ring from sketching the design to a beautiful finished piece of jewelry! I am so happy to have found this jeweler. Satnicks also has the most beautiful jewelry if you don’t want something designed from scratch and are looking for a unique piece to purchase. I just had in my mind what I wanted, and he delivered!

1 /5 Jill Olson: I am saddened and extremely disappointed by the service Ive received. I took a family ring in on May 11, 2024 to have it made into a simple medallion "disc" as a remembrance of a family member. I was told that the medallion would be done in one month - estimated to be June 8. I left a 25% deposit and then heard nothing. I called on July 22 and the jeweler was not in but was told that he would call me back. He never called me back. I called again on August 1 with no response. I called again on August 6 and left a message with an employee. I did receive a callback on August 6 and was told that he was working on the medallion and it would be done in two weeks. Again, I heard nothing back and decided to wait to see just how long it would take him to finish up. We went into the jewelers in the beginning of March, and it appeared that the ring and/or disc could not be located, but they would get back to us. That did not happen. I called again on March 18 and was told I would receive a call back the next day, that did not happen. I called again today March 26 and was told that the message would be passed on and I would get a call back. I would hope that they would be professional enough to 1. Call me back and 2. explain what happened (lost ring) and state how they will compensate me. I can get over the ring being lost, and at this point, I would like my deposit refunded and credit for the lost ring. Its ridiculous that this has been going on for 10 months.

As a former local Business owner, with the understanding of how important quality customer service is, it’s unfortunate that I have to post this review. On January 4, 2025, I went in to have my eternity engagement band and platinum wedding rings cleaned. It was found that they needed to be repaired as the prongs and fittings were worn. I was told to come back in 3 weeks to be fitted, make new ring design decision (incorporating into one ring was decided), given a quote, which included a larger ring band size & told 2-3 weeks for completion (quote & dates written on receipt). I waited, made numerous phone calls & visits with no reply or updates (Roger was never in or available). Several weeks later, I did finally connect with him & was told that the original quote had gone up over $1,500 due to the escalating cost of Platinum & suggested to “settle” for 14 karat white gold in order to maintain the original quote price. Really ?!? This increase in cost was DUE TO HIS DELAY! I left upset but returned to discuss this matter with him. He then agreed to do the ring in platinum for +$900 (was $1,500) & informed me that 3 of the diamonds were cracked & replacing them will be additional cost. I told him I need to discuss this with my husband. In addition, my husband had purchased a cross necklace for me there which had to be repaired three times due to its’ defective design. Being I was already there, I brought this in to be repaired again (had charged me for each repair). He told me that this manufacturer has discontinued this & no longer makes this design (wonder why?) , but did not give me a quote. I foolishly thought he would “make good” on this repair due to the rings’ pricing issue and cost of necklace’s previous repairs.. he still charged $55..needless to say I didn’t pick up. Timeframe of this fiasco was January - June - 6 months ! Roger points blame at everyone other than himself. He makes many mistakes due to his absences and looks to make up for it by overcharging. He refuses to take ownership, gets abrasive & defensive. His lack of availability & follow up along with poor customer service and refusal to take ownership are prime reasons to take your valuable business elsewhere to someone who will value you and your valuables.

1 /5 William Daley: On 6/27/25 i brought my USMC gold USMC signet on the ruby stone to Stnack jewelry for resizing. Well, right of i was hit with i pick the wrong time all the gold people shut down for 2 weeks and he (the jeweler) said he didnt have a piece of gold big enough to do my size. But, hed order it maybe get lucky and send it. So, put down the estimated of 7/26/25 as pick up date and i paid 100% of the cost at that time. So, being anxious i called the week before that Saturday the 26th and no its not done. Same thing few days later and the lady on the phone stated itll probably be next week because hes not even here. I said "oh." So, I showed up on that Saturday the 26th anyway to make my presence and it was not done and the gentleman jeweler stated he had to send it out....? Out, I question, but no answer just stated it will be here Tuesday August 5th. So, today August 5th i called at 2:30pm because no one called....surprise... and he answered and asked my name and after I stated you said it would be here Tuesday. And nope wasnt there, but his UPS guy comes at 3:30pm and give me a call. Well 3:30pm came and went.....nothing the rest of the day. Im going to the place tomorrow and better have my ring completed. If, I do not get my ring completed Im going directly to Southold p police and making out a police report. I should have read the reviews prior to going there and would have never gone.....I cant believe how a local business would do business this way.... is totally unbelievable. Im just praying it hasnt disappeared because I reviews it has happened in the past.....if it has...i dont even want to think about it. There, I will never use this service again and anyone asking i will share my experience and hopefully theyll make the right decision...!

5 /5 Stacy S: I have been trying to use this working from home period to do lots of projects that I have ignored for many years. One of them was going through all of my jewelry and having it repaired. I literally had dozens of items requiring repair, including a treasured gold, blue topaz, and diamond ring my Mom gave me as a teenager that I had damaged 30 years ago. I brought them all into Satnick Jewelers, and one by one Roger has restored them to their original glory. He is now working with me to convert my diamond engagement ring to a sapphire ring. He is incredibly patient and talented. I feel like I now have all this new jewelry to wear. He has done everything from replace lost gems in earrings to gold plate a beloved necklace I purchased in Italy to converting post earrings to lever backs. He even took two black pearls I had and made them into earrings. I feel very fortunate to have such a talented jeweler so close by! Roger specializes in creating new pieces, and his face lit up when I asked what to do with he diamond in my engagement ring. He immediately drew a picture of a pendant! Very awesome.
