5 /5 Briar Hanna: My friends and I have been coming to this place for years and I think its hands-down the best pawn shop/retro game store in the area. As a pawn shop there is always a variety of eye catching stuff at decent prices. Guitars and amps, stereo setups, jewelry, cameras, comics and so much more. As a retro game store it is a collectors paradise. So many consoles from the 80s-now and a slew of games for each one. Every console comes with a controller and a free game and if anything doesnt work theyll replace it with no questions asked. Current Gen consoles are also frequently sold here at great prices, especially around the holiday season. Both owners are engaging and amicable though I usually talk to the younger guy, Dom. I can tell that he is an enthusiastic and knowledgeable collector and I really like chatting with him about some of the rarer stuff that comes through the shop. Overall a great place to stop by if youre looking to get into any number of hobbies, expand your collections, trade stuff in, or even just to kill a half-hour in the Utica area.

5 /5 Nicki Kilts: I stopped into New York Connection a couple of weeks ago. Dominic greeted me and looked at a ring I was selling. He was polite, amicable and interested as I discussed details of my ring. Ultimately, he decided against buying it, but gave me helpful tips and more info on the ring, along with a couple of suggestions on how to go about selling it privately. Even though I didn’t sell it there, I left with a good feeling that I made a good choice to stop in and learned from it, and I did sell it elsewhere.

5 /5 Benedit Perez: Great place to get jewelry, instruments, games and plenty of other items. They have everything from old cameras to nice watches. Both Dom and his father are knowledgeable in everything from collectible coins to pokemon cards. Been a customer for years and have gotten great deals on everything from retro games to musical equipment.

5 /5 John Cashmer: Definitely a couple of the best when it comes to knowledge about anything antiques. They aren’t scared to lay it right out to you so they won’t sugar coat anything, and don’t force anything on you when it comes to liquidating your collection. Definitely the highest around when buying your precious metal scrap also. Always friendly and have been great to me whenever I stop in. Highly recommend if you’re in the area.
