Jonah Minkoff-Zern We worked with Joe for a few years. While he was patient working through various issues with us, it felt that he didnt have time to help in the end. Last year he made a mistake filing our taxes - which is OK - mistakes happen - but instead of taking the time to fix it or look into it, he put it back on me to try to figure it out when I received the notification from the State. It took a lot of time and effort for me to figure out what had happened (as Im not an accountant) and when he finally took the time to look and realized that he had made a not insignificant mistake - a mistake that led to us planing financially for a return that was much higher than our actual return; he didnt offer an apology - let alone a discount off a rate that somehow had increased by 50% from the previous year without warning (I found out when I received an invoice). Im sure for other accounts he could do better - for people with more knowledge of the tax system, etc. as I do think he is knowledgeable. It definitely was not a good experience for us in the end.

Molly Smith-OBrien I could not recommend Erika more, five stars is just not enough. The seller’s whole side was a complete and utter nightmare during this transaction. We dealt with so many delays and Erika and her team did EVERYTHING they could to help us not lose money after locking into our rate. I am beyond grateful. A lot of people questioned why I was using Homestead instead of a “going directly to the bank” and interestingly enough, before locking in, I spoke with a family member who recently started working at Chase. He gave me his best rates at the time and Erika was still able to get me the same rate but with even fewer points. Erika took the time to understand what was best for us and what was best given the wild market we were shopping in. This just solidified my belief that there wasn’t anyone better to have chosen for this transaction. I cannot recommend Erika highly enough. Her dedication to client satisfaction, coupled with her expertise and integrity, sets her apart. Whether youre a first-time buyer like myself or a seasoned homeowner, you can trust Erika and Homestead Funding to deliver outstanding results.
