I did it all through docusign and I was able to pick up the check at a closer branch within an hour or so. Usually the best rates around or close. Thank you First Heritage. Christie is an asset to your team she is friendly, professional, and most importantly FAST!

1 /5 Zakia Wisdom: Unfortunately, I did not have a good experience here. I was treated well when I walked in and most of the staff were pleasant and professional. However, when I was taken to the person who was to help me open a business account the women helping me was not helpful nor did it seem like she had ever opened a business account before. I am sole owner of a business S Corp. So I have no board members yet she kept insisting I did not have all my documents. Was reading from her computer the list it says I need and was not sure how to proceed. She proceeded to call someone and while speaking to the person in front of me kept saying she only has one page here and flipping through three pages at the same time. I was confused as I have 3 businesses and this wasn’t my first rodeo so to speak. I brought all that was needed. I understand if she didn’t know or wasn’t sure but her tone, eyes rolling and continued comments saying well normally people bring in all their documents and don’t have stuff missing was not professional. Even if she felt that way, that’s not how you speak to a customer who is bringing their business to yours. With that being said I thought to myself even if she figures it out, do I really want my money in this bank where I would have to worry about their service in the future. I decided to leave and went to Corning Credit Union. They were very helpful even squeezed me in at another branch after the first one I went to said they were booked. Made my appointment for me. They never asked me for any of the documents she was asking. They understood I was sole owner of a corporation. I only needed why I had brought. Opened the account with the documents I had. (Nothing Was Missing) nor did they question any of my documents.

1 /5 Perilous: This is not about the branch or the employees. Its about FHFCU as a financial institution overall. This is the WORST credit union I have ever been unfortunate enough to deal with in my entire life. They are worse than all the commercial banks Ive ever had to deal with. The people at the branch and their phone CSRs are extremely nice people. They do what they can for you. But the way the credit union itself has decided to set itself up is absolutely horrendous. They are incredibly hostile to their members and their online banking is a joke. They have all the features locked down until youve "earned" them by being a "member in good standing," but theres no way to do that because all the features are locked and you cant actually use the account for anything. I couldnt even set it up for an automatic deposit because my account was "too new." This was the same explanation for a number of locked features. Ive never heard of anything so ridiculous in my life In short, FHFCU is happy to take your money but they will not let you manage it in any way until some undisclosed and entirely arbitrary internal flags are triggered that will allow you to actually use your account the way youre meant to. FHFCU is also the only credit union in the entire country Ive ever been to which refuses to honour the same code of community and ethics that every other credit union honours - in other words, you cant be a member of another credit union and go into FHFCU and get a roll of quarters. You *have* to be a member of FHFCU or they wont do business with you. This is *literally* the only reason I opened an account - so I could get laundry quarters from the closest branch near my house. Ive never encountered a credit union where you couldnt get what you needed because you werent a member of THAT credit union. Ive been a member of one of the countrys best credit unions for almost 20 years now - Alliant Credit Union - and Ive been able to use my account there to get services at every other credit union Ive gone to across the United States, EXCEPT FHFCU, which refuses to honour that commitment or be a part of that credit union community. I find that despicable and highly unethical. I will be finding another credit union to get my quarters at and closing this account as soon as possible. Stay far, far, far, FAR away from FHFCU. They are a crappy bank wolf disguised in a credit unions sheep costume. Shameful. Utterly shameful. They are a blot on the great history of credit unions and everything they stand for. FHFCU is hostile to their customers and their community. Avoid them at all costs.
