Fee-Only firms are not the same as Fee-Based firms. Fee-Based firms can take a percentage of your money and are also allowed to get kickbacks from funds they put you in. A major conflict of interest. Ive always been a stickler on fees, whether upfront fees or internal fund fees. Zhang provided me the lowest fees in both areas while best addressing my financial goals. One of the things that first impressed me when speaking to Charles was his ability to meticulously choose funds that run the lowest internal fees with the highest performance on returns.
