1 /5 Maya Horton: This was the worse experience I ever had with an insurance company. I got into an accident that wasnt my fault, filed a claim (I was the insurer). Throughout the entire claims process, I had to do all the work, I had to file the claim through the other insurance company, I had to go get the police report, I had to fill out the accident report, I had to continuously call them to get something done. When you do call, majority of the time they wont answer the phone and when they do call back itll be days later. Whenever you asked them a question about why they dont reach out to the other insurance or basically do anything, youll get told, "Oh we dont do that". In my opinion I dont think my adjuster wanted to do her job. The only way my claim moved forward was when I called the manager. I was supposed to get my check for my car two months ago and still havent received the money. When the insurance renewal came around it went up almost 90% (it was $86 before the accident and raised to $900 after). Since they didnt reach out to the other insurance company and get the information from their end, Progressive filed the claim as "At fault", like it was my fault for getting in the accident even though there was evidence (including the police report) that I wasnt at fault. I would not recommend getting progressive for insurance. Idk if its just in Louisiana that they suck but you wont have a good experience.
