Also, please consider making more services available online. Not everyone has the time to visit your office in person. Its the digital age, and many of us expect to manage things like insurance fully online. Since that option isn’t available with you, a lot of customers, myself included have started switching to other providers who offer more convenient online support.

1 /5 Candice Alexander: Beware of Farm Bureau Insurance I’ve been a loyal customer of Farm Bureau Insurance since I was 17, but my experience with them has been a disaster in recent years. After hearing similar stories from others, I felt it was important to share mine. 1. Hurricane Coverage Issue: After the hurricane, I had coverage with Farm Bureau through Maison as the underwriter. When Maison went under, neither they nor Farm Bureau notified me. I was left without coverage on my home without any warning. 2. Vehicle Insurance Lapse: Last year, I received a cancellation notice for a company vehicle with no explanation. It turned out they had my address listed incorrectly—an old address from another parish. When I called my agent, he assured me it would be resolved. It wasn’t. This led to another lapse in coverage, causing flags at the DMV. 3. State Complaint: I reported these issues to the Louisiana Department of Insurance, but the problems continued. 4. Recent Vehicle Insurance Incident: This month, I decided to move all six of my policies away from Farm Bureau due to their repeated failures and dishonesty. Instead of canceling all policies at once as I requested, they canceled one vehicle three days before the others, resulting in yet another lapse in coverage, a $125 fine, and another DMV flag. I’m relieved to be done with this company and hope my experience serves as a warning. If you’re looking for reliable auto or home insurance, I would strongly advise looking elsewhere. Their service is unreliable, and their mistakes can cost you time, money, and peace of mind.

1 /5 loc tran: The people sitting at the reception were very impolite, always saying bad things about customers and laughing. After hanging up the phone, they laughed and talked about that customer. they are racist. I had an appointment at 8am, there were no other customers at that time, they told me to wait a bit. I waited 30 minutes, and when I left they didnt say anything. If I were white, things would probably be different.

5 /5 Nely Marcantel: I dont understand the bad reviews at all. I wish I could give this place 10 stars. After being totally screwed over by State Farm and Go Auto I called Farm Bureau. I had the pleasure of talking with Mr. Darren Theriot. He is a helluva good guy. I needed insurance on my pickup right away. Mr. Darren said "not a problem" and went to work. I sent him what he needed and less than 30 minutes later I had full coverage insurance on my truck for $136 a month. I was at work and in Texas at the time so everything was done over the phone. He sent proof of coverage to my phone and told me I was good to go and that Id get my insurance card when I went in and signed everything. I was able to go by there a couple days later and sign everything. While the receptionist was showing me where to sign Mr. Darren took a minute to walk out to the lobby, shake my hand, and thanked me for choosing Farm Bureau. Him doing that told me all I needed to know about Farm Bureau. I highly recommend them to anyone needing car insurance.

1 /5 Hector Ramos: Been hiking my insurance for the 2yrs. My rates have gone up 178 in the last 18 months with no tickets or any traffic citations. They excuse is the commissioner has increased the rate, but I go through a company and my rates are lower for the same coverage. I would not recommend farm bureau of Lake Charles.
