5 /5 Kat M: I have been to this unique gift store a handful of times. I have purchased gems, incense and burners, scented soaps and bath bombs, jewelry and bamboo socks (to name a few). I recently went to find a gift for a hard to shop for niece. I bought her a kitchen cooking torch/flame and she loved it! I would never have thought of it but knew they had a fun kitchen section. They clearly strive to carry unique items not found in box stores. I am going to buy myself a rain chain next time. Also, the wands they offer are harry potter type, not made for children to play. Adults like them too. Also feels Great to support a local, unique family owned business.

5 /5 Jane Landwair: Very nice store. Great selection of fun gifts and things. Crystals, stones, incense, kitchen gadgets and cards. Too many things to list but worth it to stop in.

3 /5 Floyd Clark: Their selections are amazing. I’ve come here on several occasions and enjoyed my experiences. However the trip I made last left me a bit annoyed. The cashier greeted me as normal and to let me know that if I had any questions she was there to help. At the time I was the only customer in the store and I didn’t have anything specific in mind to purchase. During my perusing I heard a song the piqued my interest (the song was Sally Was a Cop by Chuck Prophet ft. Quiensave for anyone that’s curious). I paused in an aisle to look up the lyrics. I heard the cashier from behind me ask me again if I needed help from the opposite end of the aisle, I told her no once again. It started to feel uncomfortable for me. Then a customer came in one after the other, from the sounds of it a man whom paid quickly and a woman who based on my perception did not receive the same treatment. Frustrated I grabbed what item I found and went to pay because I no longer felt like I was welcome and couldn’t browse to the extent that I liked. It could be a misconception on my part, but it didn’t leave me feeling good. In my lived experience it’s very common to be “checked in on” frequently based on my skin tone, I’m hoping that is not the case here.

1 /5 Jess Potter: Shine has absolutely awful customer service! My 7 year old daughters wand broke in less than 2 hours and we were refused a replacement and told that the wand left the store in one piece. My daughter was with me the whole time and did nothing inappropriate to cause the damage. I was also lectured on how no other business would replace broken/damaged items; which is the biggest lie ever. I pride myself in shopping locally and with ethical, slow fashion companies. Any time I have had a product fail, even after wash/wear, I have been met with the utmost grace and wonderful customer service. A business is only as good as their products and customer service. Shine failed miserably. Its too bad because this area needs good stores, not more awful humans. DO NOT SHOP HERE!

1 /5 Þórra Sannhetssiger: Clerk was very self centered as I was a first time visitor and as soon as she checked out the customers at the register she basically told me to get out 5 minutes early. I was planning to buy a VERY large piece but because she was impatient, wouldn’t allow me to peruse the rest of this little shop, and kicked me out early I wished her luck and left. No apologies from her, no remorse, or the least curiosity as to whether I was going to purchase something or not. Will never come back. May karma prevail. UPDATE: DID IT EVER OCCUR TO YOU THAT I DIDNT HEAR YOU SAY YOU WERE CLOSING? I make a point to leave positive reiveiws wherever I can. Your lack of accountability speaks for itself. Your long diatribe doesnt change the fact that you were ignorantly kicking out a new customer. BAD IDEA.
