1. Expertise: the agent needs to know insurance and know who to consult when they have a special situation. The ability to pick up on these special situations and advise the client is critical.
2. Full Disclosure: each client has different exposure to hazards and the agent must understand and offer options to address these. Being a risk manager is important and part of being an expert.
3. Display Confidence: the agent needs to make you feel confident that if theres a claim or serious issue, she will be there for you and make sure you are treated right. The relationship, not rates, is critical!
