I’ve purchased many different items from Billy, plenty of diamonds, as this is my daughter’s birthstone (rings, earrings), but my favorite story is this… I’d been on the hunt for a “black opal” for 6 years. I walked into The Diamondaire and asked point blank if they had one. I had asked this question of many area jewelers for years. Billy had just returned from a show and happened to have ONE, that was loose. I asked that we get it put into a setting, and that I didn’t care what the cost was. I’d been searching for years, and this stone was sentimental to me. Billy and his staff helped me pick a setting and a few days later I was able to bring home the most beautiful, important ring of my life. I later went back and picked out a band that I thought looked beautiful with my ring; diamonds of course. I’ve been in and out of that store so many times in the last year. To make purchases, sales, get cleanings, resizing or to just chat with friends and love on Adrian. They’re always ready with a friendly smile, hug/handshake and a glass of whatever you’re drinking that day. This is my jeweler. I’ll keep going back to look at the pretty jewelry, chat with kind, wholesome people and pet the cutest pittie you’ve ever seen.

First off, if you have a Fossil watch, Bachers is the only place within 30 miles of Harrisburg to get your battery changed. As Ks doesnt do it anymore. Very friendly, and took care of me while I waited. Which was only a few minutes. Mr. Bacher and his staff have to be some of the friendliest bunch of people there is.

Dave and this establishment are pillars of Joliet’s community. Without his store front on Jefferson Street? I swear to God, I would think the world is ending. The quality of his jewelry knows no end! I have seen rare volcanic diamonds that could only be obtained by crossing the world over. Dave Nelson is one of those people that you rarely, if ever, come across in a lifetime. If you have jewelry that you need him to validate? He is always the first one to be generous enough to do it, even if there’s nothing to validate in an endless pile. No one else does this, trust me, I have tried. When my mother passed from breast cancer? I had so much questionable jewelry and there was no one or where to go that would check it all, except Dave. He was there for me, professionally, and always has been. Dave is exceptionally generous. His son is also one of my very best friends. If I could cover all of the times that Dave was there for me as child? I would. How many times he put dinner on the table for me while I had none? How many times he stuck up for me to bullies? How many times he had pig roasts and invited the entire community? I could go on, forever. This place? These people? They defy quality and kindness. They show you the very definition of ‘Class’. Laurie Pillman Was blown away by the beautiful items in this store and the friendly staff. Some regulars came in while we shopped and the lady running the place was just as nice to us as she was to them. Jewelry, statues, crystals, tarot...this place had a bit of everything.
