1 /5 Cynthia Mester: I have been going to Jones jewelers for decades, but since it has been owned by someone other than Mike, it is not a place to where I would recommend anyone go. Most recently, I took in a bracelet with a missing stone and asked if it could be fixed, including letting them know that I would pay for the prongs to be built up or anything else that may be needed. After taking it to the back to have the jeweler review it, they said it should be no problem to fix. Needless to say, it has definitely been a problem. When I picked it up the first time, another stone had popped out in less than 24 hours. I took it back, and they said they would replace the stone for free. I picked it up again and had it for LESS THAN 2 1/2 HOURS, and the original stone they replaced popped out. I took it back again, and they had my bracelet for over a month—I only heard it was done and able to be picked up when I called to inquire about it. When I picked it up, the stone was replaced with what appears to be a J, I3. I asked to talk to the jeweler about it since I said it feels as though I’m being penalized because the stone has been an issue, and I was told the jeweler was too busy to talk to me. Couple this with the poor customer service of the ladies upfront, as reported to me by two friends who said they will not go back again and as witnessed by me, and I won’t be going back. What a shame that such a gem of a store has turned into such a dirty diamond!! Sad and heartbreaking, to say the least!!
