1 /5 Michelle Werner: I received a call at 8:36 AM this morning asking if I was interested in home and auto insurance quotes. I explained that I was already getting a good deal on my auto policy and that it wasn’t a good time, as I’m in the middle of planning a move. I even shared who I’m currently insured with.
Then—at 11:08 AM—I got another call from the same office, asking the exact same thing. I’m trying to work! When I pointed out that I had already spoken with someone earlier, the caller said, “That was probably my co-worker, not me,” and then immediately asked again if I was interested in quotes. Seriously?
Either the right hand and left hand aren’t talking to each other, or they just don’t care. If I had been considering them for quotes, this definitely turned me off. It came across as disorganized at best, and disrespectful of my time at worst. It felt more like a pushy sales tactic than a professional outreach—and that’s not the kind of service I’d want from an insurance provider.
