1 /5 Sarah Wayne: We very recently had storm damage to our house, and called literally within an hour of the storm to start a claim. We have called EVERY DAY since and have not been able to speak to our agent and just get passed to claims and told they will reach out. We are on day 9, and still have not been contacted or had an adjuster out to our house.
The whole front side of our roof was severely damaged and was leaking water in multiple rooms, the ceiling started collapsing in our toddler’s room, the water made it down to the basement. We have other exterior damage on top of that, broken windows, etc. We were without power for 4 nights and five days, with holes in our roof that we have had to tarp twice now, because it’s been over a week.
We have a toddler with special needs and a newborn baby, and have still not been able to have anyone set up a date for an adjuster to come out. The last lady we talked to was very rude and “deemed or house liveable” without anyone coming to see our house. It is not liveable, especially for a toddler and newborn.
We’ve had a mitigation company out to start the drying process and have a roofer and contractor lined up to start working, but no one can start until an adjuster is sent, and there is NO COMMUNICATION coming from this agency on when that will be. We are on day 9. The majority of our neighbors and neighborhood have already had adjusters out.
We will probably be reporting to the better business bureau and filing a complaint, because this is unacceptable.
Some photos below of only a few of the issues, but don’t worry, the lady on the phone deemed our house “liveable”…
