2 /5 Courtney Anderson: I am very disappointed with my experience working with Ron Sluder and his team at Silverton Mortgage. Throughout the loan process, communication was inconsistent and largely one-sided. While I was contacted repeatedly when they needed something from me, my own calls and emails as well as my realtors —some of which were urgent—often went unanswered.
Important documents requiring my signature were sent without any explanation or follow-up, leaving me to make significant decisions blindly. When I asked for clarification, there was little urgency or support—yet I was pressured to sign quickly, despite not fully understanding the documents.
Additionally, it became clear that Ron showed more loyalty and urgency toward the builder than to me, his actual client. At no point did I feel that he advocated on my behalf, especially when the builder failed to meet obligations or provide necessary updates. As a customer, this was incredibly frustrating and disheartening.
To make matters worse, the estimated loan numbers provided were significantly off. Ron made assumptions about interest rates and costs that proved to be inaccurate, resulting in unexpected out-of-pocket expenses for me at closing—something that could have been avoided with proper attention to detail and transparency.
Overall, my experience was stressful and disappointing, and I would not recommend this team to future homebuyers seeking reliable and client-centered mortgage support.
