1 /5 Tameeka Mathis 777: Branch manager Mike Horton was extremely nasty today and unprofessional and unprovoked at that. Today is my dad’s 2 year anniversary of passing away and the treatment I received truly negatively impacted me. Mike was beyond disrespectful to me today. Usually he’s pleasant, albeit rushing me off the phone when I speak to him, but today he was everything but professional and courteous and I am always polite and pleasant when I call. First he thought I said I recorded his calls and was very reactive/defensive when HE misheard ME. What I had said was I’m sure the calls are recorded. After his alarming defensive and reactive reply, out of suspicion and discomfort, I politely asked if it was ok for me to have a witness to verify what’s being said on our calls (as he was speaking about my account as if I had said something differently than I had been saying all along) for legal purposes he said he “bent over backwards for me” and then proceeded to threaten me by saying “ you will be sued” and hung up. I am reporting him. This is beyond unacceptable. I went through a loss, an unspeakable trauma earlier this year and countless other things. My track record with this company is extremely good as I had prior loans that were paid off with NO MISSED OR LATE PAYMENTS. The kicker is that I simply returned his call from today and expected at the minimum expected professionalism and courtesy, even if there were no other options left to help me.
Edit: I politely told him I did not want to speak with him when I called back. Eventually, he then over talked me, was a bit antagonistic and refused to admit he misheard me but insists that I said the call was recorded it was him who misheard me when I asked if the call was recorded . He doubled down on the disrespect and proceeded to over talk me. He did not apologize at all for his misconduct. And yes the second and third calls were being recorded for his misconduct and the alarm he raised when he got reactive after I presumed the business had me on a recorded call, as most do and proceeded to verbally misquote what I said to him regarding the verbal agreement we made concerning my account. Moving forward I want no contact with him.
