Georgia United Credit Union - Dalton (GA)

1 /5 Brandon Brown: I do not recommend Georgia United Credit Union. After years of business and multiple successful loans and relationships with the GUCU and the Dalton branch, my business account was closed by them. They can say it was for inactivity, but there really wasnt much time that had past since we had paid off our companies last two auto loans before they closed the business account. I was required to have a personal account there in order to open a business account. Since the business account was involuntarily closed, I drew down my personal account there leaving a small balance just in case I needed future services. They took all of the money out of this account. Every cent. They call it inactivity fees. You could call it theft. They say they sent a letter saying it was going to happen. Its just unfortunate. I think they could do better. I was a good customer to them, but they made me leave. So just beware if you trust them with your money, watch the fees closely and stay active!

2 /5 L B: They have gone down the last couple of years. I have banked with them for around 20 years or so. There are no more tellers in Dalton Ga, you have to do everything yourself, but there are employees standing around in the lobby telling you what to do and where to go. Help that make sense? Not sure whos idea that was. The ATMs are always messed up, not working or giving cash. Great thing about that is, you dont even know it UNTIL YOU HAVE SIT in the long line and gotten up there! The last time I was in there to replace my broken debit card ON MY LUNCH HOUR. I was waiting in the lobby for over 30 mins. That is not acceptable. Get more workers. Stop trying to save money and make everything self-serve. I will probably be leaving this bank. I never make many changes in my life. I am 52 years old. I have the same cell phone number since cell phones came out. The same FB page since FB came out. I am a creature of routine and habit, but this is a habit I guess I will have to break. Its sad to see your bank of so many years go down the drain. Thank you.
