4 /5 A C Moore: I attended a Financial presentation at the Halifax River Yacht Club (which included a free dinner) and found it to be informative. I took plenty of notes on the topics that pertained to me. I was very pleased with the dinner that was offered (I selected salmon) and we were even able to take home leftovers. I plan on meeting with Mr. Poole to discuss Estate planning. The only suggestion I have regarding the presentation is to perhaps limit the amount of information presented. After an hour or so your attention starts to wane. Thank you.

1 /5 Melanie Garcia: Went to a presentation with dinner last night at the Halifax Yacht Club at 6:30. Almost immediately after we sat down our salads and bread were brought out. We were not allowed to order any alcoholic drinks (at a yacht club!). He spent most of the first hour talking about long term care. Then he started on annuities which my husband and I are very set against buying. By 7:15 we still hadnt gotten the entree and never saw the servers again after taking our orders. He still droned on about long term care and annuities for the next hour and a half. By 8 pm and still no food or sight of servers, Id had enough and told my husband I was leaving and not coming back. I asked for the car keys and left. He came out about 10 minutes later and still no dinners. We ended up going to McDonalds. Some people had come in after us and never got a salad or even anything to drink besides the water that was on everyones tables. This was a huge waste of our time and we didnt learn ANYthing. Ill bet the people who stayed never got any dinner either and I hope others left fed up (and not by food). We will do better research the next time we decide to go to one of these.
