1 /5 Susan Chase: I sold my property 4 months ago and have been trying to get refunded for my unused premium ever since. I sent them my closing statement promptly. After waiting over 2 months, I called my broker since they won’t talk directly to me. Without any notice to my broker they were holding the check to confirm the address the check should be mailed to. After confirming address, I waited another month and called my broker again only to find out they sent the check to an address I haven’t lived at for 3 years. Now I have to wait for check to be canceled and new check to be reissued. Is this company legitimate! Sounds like they are avoiding payout. I have always paid my premium in full and in a timely manner. They should have to pay me interest for holding onto my money for 4 months. They would have definitely charged me a late fee since they have charged all sorts of fees the 6 years I was with them and I have never put in a claim. With this treatment, I am so glad I never did. It would have been a nightmare. I never leave negative reviews but this is unacceptable. Beware.

1 /5 Stephen Springs: Last year Velocity insurance company canceled me after one year no with claims,I was informed that Orchid insurance Would pick me up. My wife and I pay for two $200 inspections plus another required $225 inspection from Orchid, lucky us after paying Approximately $3600 in Premiums they have decided to cancel my policy with no claims.IF YOU HAVE A CHOICE THEY Probably should not be your first choice. Thanks for taking my hard earned money.

1 /5 Eric Bower: This company drop my coverage without sending a notification to renew. It wasnt until my mortgage company notified me to verify coverage because they did not get an invoice to renew. The mortgage company had to verify that Orchid had cash the check for coverage but did not reinstate the policy. After back and forth for about two weeks, Orchid final sends a renewal policy, but the policy premium had increased by $1,800.00. "Horrible" I would not recommend this company to my worst enemy!

1 /5 Harlan Strauss: What a joke of an insurance company. They hire a 3rd party inspection company, then the 3rd party hired a 4th party to come out to video the house and property. Then 3rd party identified a well pressure tank as a hot water heater, but had the correct manufacturer date. Put wrong dates down for my roof and HVAC(both less than 1yr old). Then Orchid cancels policy, stating house mechanicals are outdated and house in poor condition.

1 /5 Robin Plessl: We cancelled our policy in July and still waiting for our rebate, almost 4 months later. After multiple calls, same story each time, we put you on the expedite list & should be just another week. So sorry we did business with Orchid.
